On 20 February 2025, a table tennis championship was held at the Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs at the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines among the full-time students. The Heavenly Hundred Heroes Day celebrates annually on 20 February. It is a mourning day that commemorate deceased participants of the Revolution of Dignity. The bloodiest moments of the revolution took place from 18 to 20 February. It was on these days that mass shootings of Maidan participants happened. All the fallen participants and activists of the revolution were called the Heavenly Hundred. The word ‘hundred’ originated from the structural unit of Maidan self-defence. They were called hundreds. And the term ‘Heavenly Hundred’ was introduced at the ceremony of farewell to the dead.
On 20 February, annually Ukraine celebrates the Heavenly Hundred Heroes Day in accordance with the President’s Order of 11 February 2025 ‘On Honouring the Feat of the Participants of the Revolution of Dignity and Perpetuating the Memory of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes’.
