Events commemorating the Holodomor victims of 1932-1933, one of the most tragic periods in Ukrainian history, were held at the dormitory of the Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA.

At 4:00 p.m., cadets and students joined in a nationwide minute of silence and took part in the ‘Light a Candle’ campaign, honouring the millions of innocent lives lost. The lights in the windows became a symbol of remembrance and unity between generations in their shared commemoration of this national tragedy.

There was also a screening of the documentary ‘The Price of Truth,’ which reveals the events of the Holodomor and shows the struggle for the truth about it. After the screening, an information session was held to discuss the historical circumstances, the scale of the tragedy, and its impact on the Ukrainian people.

Such events contribute to the preservation of historical memory, promote respect for the past among young people, and raise awareness of the importance of truth and dignity in society.
