On 25 November 2025, Liudmyla Oliinyk, the head of the Scientific Activities Organisation Department, together with Nataliia Kitsel, a research associate of the Department, organised and conducted for educational process participants a scientific seminar on the topic ‘First Steps in Science’, in accordance with the Plan for Conducting Scientific and Practical Conferences, Seminars, Round Tables, and Other Scientific Events at the KFC of KhNUIA for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, approved by the Pedagogical Council of the KFC of KhNUIA (Minutes No. 1 of 27.08.2025) and to encourage College students to engage in scientific activities.

First-year students, representatives of the Cadet and Student Council, and members of scientific clubs took part in the scientific seminar.

During the seminar, Liudmyla Oliinyk, head of the Scientific Activities Organisation Department, disclosed the essence and significance of science and scientific research in the current conditions of martial law and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. The speaker focused the attention of the College's students on the importance of developing their scientific activities and conducting scientific research, as this will strengthen their practical skills, deepen their existing knowledge of a particular academic discipline, and help them develop critical thinking. Lyudmila Oliinyk also outlined the problems that young scientists may encounter and provided recommendations for solving them, giving specific examples.

During the discussion of the topic, a lively debate arose between the speaker and the participants of the scientific seminar, and Liudmyla Oliinyk provided comprehensive answers to the students’ questions.
