The Air Transport Department of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was established in July 2024 and is one of the main units of the university that provides a high level of training for aviation specialists. The department actively cooperates with other departments of the college, as well as with scientific institutions and public organizations. The educational and methodological activities of the department are formed in accordance with changes in the current legislation and new theoretical scientific developments.

HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The history of the Department dates back to the establishment of the Flight Safety Cyclic commission of Kremenchuk Civil Aviation School in 1960. In 2007, it was renamed into the Cyclic commission of Aircraft Flight Operation. In 2017, by merging with the Cyclic commission of Aircraft and Aircraft Engine Design and Operation, Fuel and Lubricants, the Cyclic commission of Aircraft Flight Operation was renamed the Cyclic commission of Air Transport.

In 2019, the Air Navigation Cyclic commission as part of Kremenchuk Flight College became part of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. In 2020, the cyclic commission of Air Transport was renamed to the cyclic commission of Air Navigation.

The main tasks of the Air Transport Department are to organize and implement a highly professional scientific and methodological level of the educational process in theoretical and practical disciplines, taking into account the requirements of the Bologna Process, to train qualified competitive specialists for the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (aviation units of the National Police of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine) and for enterprises of various forms.
