For the first time in Ukraine, the Day of Remembrance of Ukrainians who saved Jews during the Second World War has been declared. The Righteous of the Nations: the example of Ukraine Thematic Educative Class took place in the college which was attended by first-year cadets, representatives of the Department of Social-Humanitarian, Educational and Vocational Guidance, and a lecturer of the Department of social-humanitarian disciplines and physical training Oleksii Mateta. Hard times were mentioned when mass repressions against Jews and their extermination took place in Nazi-occupied Ukraine. Ukrainians and townspeople who, despite the death penalty threatened by the Nazis, saved Jews from death, were honored
