Natalia Dovbysh, Inspector of the Science Department of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, completed a four-week online course “Gender Approach at the Local Level in Ukraine”.

The course was developed within the framework of the project “Strengthening Democracy and Local Confidence in Ukraine” in partnership with the Association of Ukrainian Cities and the Network of
Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS) and implemented by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe as part of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine for 2018-2021.

The online course aims to improve the quality of democracy at the local level in Ukraine by strengthening institutional structures, supporting local governments and their national associations, implementing ethical principles in decision-making, and supporting more inclusive, transparent, accountable and citizen-oriented local government.

The acquired knowledge and skills will be used in the development and implementation of activities on gender issues, which are planned by the Science Department in 2021.
