The Scientific Department of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held a scientific seminar in remote mode on the topic “Academic Writing”, in continuation of a series of seminars on compliance with the principles of academic integrity.

The speaker of the scientific seminar was Maryna Petchenko, the Head of Science Department, the Candidate of Economic Sciences.

The scientific seminar is based on theoretical and practical experience gained at webinars, courses, foreign scientific internships on academic integrity.

During the scientific seminar, the following issues were considered: the conceptual apparatus on issues of academic writing, the competencies, which should be possessed by the participants of the educational process for high-quality academic writing; the structure of academic writing; technological solutions and preventive measures in the college; rules of citation and reference in academic texts; main types of violations in academic writing and liability; standards for reference and list of sources used in Ukraine, as well as international styles of scientific publications, recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Representatives of the pedagogical and scientific staff of the college joined the scientific seminar.

At the end of the seminar, the participants’ questions were answered.

The participants of the scientific seminar will use the acquired knowledge and competencies in the educational and scientific work of the college.
