Employees of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, namely Maryna Petchenko, Head of the Science Department, Rustam Abrashytov, Acting Head of the International Relations and Interuniversity Activities Department, lecturers Valentyna Hardash, Liudmyla Ivanchenko, Valentyna Syvolozhska, Svitlana Cherednyk and Liudmyla Chyzhova took part in a webinar entitled “Domestic Violence: raising awareness and best practices in the approach to domestic violence cases”, which was organized by the Department of International Cooperation of the University with the support of the European Union Advisory Mission.

Liviu Velicea (EUAM Field Office in Kharkiv), who is Adviser/Trainer on Community Policing, was the speaker at this event. He shared the experience of the Hungarian police in combating domestic violence. The speaker determined types of domestic violence, rules of interrogation of witnesses, in particular children, the ways of the investigation of such crimes, and also gave the recommendations for combating and preventing domestic violence.
