On 11 December 2025, a binary lesson was held in the discipline ‘Radio Navigation’ for bachelor’s degree students of the Pdsr-22-1b group, educational and professional programme ‘Air Navigation’ in the field of knowledge 27 ‘Transport’, speciality 272 ‘Air Transport’.
Volodymyr Lazeba, navigator of the aviation squadron of the Aviation Support Centre of the National Police of Ukraine, was invited to conduct the lesson.
Teacher Volodymyr Zhurid presented to students the topic of the binary lesson ‘Features of Flight Performance in Special Conditions’.
At the beginning of the class, Volodymyr Lazeba shared the specifics of his work. During the binary session, the students made calculations of the time of darkness at the takeoff and landing airfield. Then, there was an active discussion of the following issues: ‘Features of helicopter navigation at low and limited low altitudes,’ ‘Flights at night,’ ‘Flights in mountainous areas.’
The students actively asked questions, and throughout the dialogue, Volodymyr Lazeba presented an analysis of aviation accidents during flights in challenging conditions.
The students gained new knowledge, got to know the regulatory documentation, and successfully mastered all the materials of the binary lesson.
