On 12 December 2025, Valerii Matvieiev, teacher at the Department of Electronic Communications, Radio Engineering and Avionics, held a scheduled scientific seminar on the topic ‘Intelligent OnBoard Decision Support Systems for Aircraft Crews.’
The seminar was attended by Liudmyla Oliinyk, Head of the Scientific Activities Organisation Department; Nataliia Kitsel, Research Associate of the Scientific Activities Organisation Department; and Inna Melnychuk, Senior Laboratory Assistant of the Department of Electronic Communications, Radio Engineering and Avionics.
The students who joined the seminar were from the AVdms-24-1b group, majoring in 173 ‘Avionics,’ the educational and professional program ‘Avionics,’ and groups Pdsr-22-1b and Pdsr-24-1b, majoring in 272 ‘Aviation Transport,’ the educational and professional program ‘Air Navigation.’
The event began with a presentation by Valerii Matvieiev, a teacher at the Department of Electronic Communications, Radio Engineering, and Avionics, who spoke about prospects for development in aviation telecommunications systems and artificial intelligence. The presentation covered the path of development from simpler mechanical and electrical devices and simple autopilots to modern intelligent aircraft systems.

After each presentation, the seminar participants asked the speakers many interesting questions and held lively discussions on the topics.
At the end of the event, Liudmyla Oliinyk, head of the Scientific Activities Organisation Department, summed up the work of the scientific seminar and suggested that the speakers prepare their reports in the form of abstracts for participation in scientific and practical conferences.
Overall, the event took place in an informative and discussion-oriented atmosphere and left a positive impression. Thanks to the scientific seminar, each of the participants learned something new and deepened their knowledge on the topic.
