On the eve of Ukrainian Land Forces Day, students from the Kremenchuk Flight College of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs visited a public organisation, the Kremenchuk Veterans Centre for the Rehabilitation of War Disabled Persons.
The purpose of the meeting was to foster a conscious attitude toward defending the state, patriotism, and respect for the heroes of Ukraine among the younger generation. Communicating with soldiers who have directly participated in combat operations and continue to defend Ukraine's independence is extremely important for shaping the worldview of today's youth.
During the event, Hero of Ukraine Oleksandr Krokivets, Hero of Ukraine Eduard Sabanin, and Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viacheslav Makeiev spoke to the cadets. The defenders shared their experiences of military service, talked about the challenges faced by military personnel in today's conditions, and emphasised the importance of discipline, responsibility, and strength of character.
Throughout the lively discussion, the cadets asked a number of questions about the qualities necessary for the successful performance of their duties, as well as what young people should pay particular attention to during their professional development. The Heroes of Ukraine emphasised the importance of continuous self-improvement, the development of leadership qualities, and a willingness to work in a team.
The staff of the Kremenchuk Flight College of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs expresses its sincere gratitude to the defenders for their frank conversation, courage, and dedication in the struggle for the freedom and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Such meetings contribute to the formation of high civic consciousness and a desire to serve their country with dignity among students.
