On 25 November 2025, Yurii Stushchanskyi, senior teacher of the Department of Electronic Communications, Radio Engineering and Avionics, together with Oleksandr Cherkashyn, engineer for maintenance, repair and diagnostics of aviation equipment at the State Institution ‘Aviation Support Centre of the National Police of Ukraine’, held a binary class for fourth-year bachelor students of the 272 ‘Aviation Transport’ of the educational and professional program ‘Air Navigation’ in the discipline ‘Avionics.’
The topic of the binary class was ‘Devices to Control the Operation of Engines, Transmission and Helicopter Systems, Digital Engine Controller.’
During the binary class, Yurii Stushchanskyi introduced students to the principle of indicating engine parameters, transmission operation, and helicopter systems on the electronic instrument displays (EID) of modern helicopters.
Oleksandr Cherkashyn spoke about the electronic digital engine control system (FADEC-full authority digital engine control system) of the H-145 helicopter, its principle of operation, and operational features.
At the end of the class, the speakers answered numerous questions from students regarding the specifics of use, performance monitoring, and typical failures of the engine control system, transmission control system, and helicopter systems of the H-145 in flight.
