On 27 November 2025, Valerii Matvieiev, teacher at the Department of Electronic Communications, Radio Engineering and Avionics, together with Oleksandr Cherkashyn, engineer for maintenance, repair and diagnostics of aviation equipment at the State Institution ‘Aviation Support Centre of the National Police of Ukraine’, held a binary class for fourth-year bachelor students of the 272 ‘Aviation Transport’ of the educational and professional program ‘Air Navigation’ in the discipline ‘Automated Air Traffic Control Systems.’ The topic of the binary lesson was ‘Helicopter Navigation Equipment.’

During the binary class, Valerii Matvieiev familiarised students with the principle of navigation information indicators and the navigation equipment of modern helicopters.

Oleksandr Cherkashyn spoke about the attitude and heading reference system equipment of the H-145 helicopter, its principle of operation, and operational features.

At the end of the class, the speakers answered numerous questions from students regarding the specifics of use, performance monitoring, and typical failures of the AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference System) in flight.
