In modern society, many dangerous phenomena require a responsible attitude and systematic educational influence. To form conscious, legal, and socially responsible behaviour among students, a series of preventive events was organised at the college over the weekend.

On the eve of the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery (December 2) and to prevent young people from being trapped by human traffickers, a thematic event was held with screenings of the documentaries ‘Life for Sale’ and ‘The Third Millennium – Slavery Exists. After the screening, students discussed current challenges, dangers, and ways to counter modern forms of slavery, and learned about personal safety tips and algorithms for action in risky situations.

As part of the All-Ukrainian campaign ‘16 Days Against Violence, a specialist from the Department of Social, Humanitarian, Educational, and Career Guidance Work held an hour discussion for students on the topic of ‘Explaining Responsibility for Cruel Treatment of Peers and Committing Criminal Offences Against Individuals. During the meeting, participants received important legal information, discussed real examples of violations, and realised the consequences of aggressive and unlawful behaviour.

In support of the global initiative, students joined the ‘Blue Ribbon’ flash mob, which symbolises solidarity in the fight against violence. Students attached blue ribbons as a sign of concern and support for victims.
