On 27 November 2025, Vira Siora, senior teacher of the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines, conducted a demonstrative practical class in the discipline ‘Professional Ethics and Culture in Aviation’ on the topic ‘Business (Official) Etiquette’. The session was held for students majoring in 272 ‘Air Transport,’ 141 ‘Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics,’ and ‘172 Electronic Communications and Radio Engineering.’
Vira Siora began the lesson by announcing the topic and objective. The students’ background knowledge was refreshed in the form of a dynamic and clear linguistic quest, which stimulated their mental activity.
The motivation for learning was stimulated at the beginning of the class with the help of brainstorming. The next stage was the completion of various tasks: emotional-evaluative tasks; creative-activity tasks (business games), and problem-solving tasks (ways to resolve conflicts).
The senior teacher's language is professionally competent; she has a balanced character and pedagogical tact, which contributes to an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual understanding in the classroom. The teacher skillfully manages the learning process, knows how to organise students for work, instilling the traits of independent decision-making and teamwork.
Maryna Kiriukhina, head of the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines, who was present at the lesson, noted that Vira Siora constantly interacts with students; uses mainly active teaching methods; and successfully combines frontal, group and individual forms of organising learning activities.
Inna Ryshkova, a senior teacher of the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines, observing the lesson, noted that Vira Siora treats students with respect and understanding, is tactful, has solid, in-depth knowledge of the subject, thinks through motivational moments well, and is respected by students.
It was concluded that the senior teacher is proficient in the methodology of conducting practical classes and demonstrated a high level of professional skill.
