Key terms of academic integrity were also covered with the students. Recommendations for authors to avoid plagiarism when writing texts were discussed, including:
always referencing sources properly;
paraphrasing the content, not the words;
taking detailed notes when working with literature;
checking your own work before submission;
clearly distinguishing between your own and borrowed ideas.
The speaker also demonstrated the process of checking a text for plagiarism using the Plag.ua program and discussed how to correctly interpret the verification report.
