On 5 November 2025, a binary lesson was held in the discipline ‘Aircraft Design and Strength’ for the first (bachelor's) level students of the group TMdms-23-1b and TMdms-24-1b of the educational and professional programme ‘Maintenance and Repair of Aircraft and Aircraft Engines’, field of knowledge 27 ‘Transport’, speciality 272 ‘Air Transport’.
Kostiantyn Khrystoliubskyi, a leading specialist in the field, aviation technician for airframes and engines at the Aviation Support Center of the National Police of Ukraine, was invited to conduct the binary class.
The teacher Oleksandr Samokhlib introduced to students the topic of binary class ‘General Characteristics of the H-145 Helicopter.’
At the beginning of the class, Kostiantyn Khrystoliubskyi talked about the tasks that the helicopter can perform, as well as the variations in its use. Then, there was an active discussion of the following issues: ‘Mass characteristics,’ ‘Nominal engine characteristics,’ ‘External dimensions,’ ‘Internal dimensions,’ and ‘Basic operating parameters.’ The students actively asked questions and, in the course of the dialogue, clarified the general characteristics of the H-145 helicopter.
Kostiantyn Khrystoliubskyi then provided the students with relevant information on employment in the aviation units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which allowed them to expand their knowledge of working with new types of helicopters.
At the end of the session, Kostiantyn Khrystoliubskyi summed up the topics covered, talked about perspective areas of development for the Ukrainian National Police's aircraft fleet, and answered all the students' questions.
The students gained new knowledge, got to know the general characteristics, and successfully mastered all the materials of the binary lesson.
