On 7 November 2025, a binary class was held in the discipline ‘Design and Flight Operation of Mi-2MSB, Mi-8MT, Mi-8MTV, Mi-8MSB’ for the bachelor’s degree students of the Pdsr-23-1b and Pdsr-22-1b study groups of the educational and professional program ‘Air Navigation’, field of knowledge 27 ‘Transport,’ specialty 272 ‘Aviation Transport.’
Kostiantyn Khrystoliubskyi, a leading specialist in the field, aviation technician for airframes and engines at the Aviation Support Center of the National Police of Ukraine, was invited to conduct the binary class.
The teacher Oleh Kyrychenko announced to the students the topic of the binary class: ‘Features of the use of polymer coverings to improve sliding.’
At the beginning of the class, Kostiantyn Khrystoliubskyi talked about the main friction units that use wear-resistant sliding coverings. Then, there was an active discussion of the following issues: ‘Types of polymer coverings and their role in protecting friction surfaces,’ ‘Places where Teflon coverings are used,’ and ‘The role of wear-resistant coverings in reducing the amount of technical maintenance.’ The students actively asked questions and, in the course of the dialogue, clarified the features of the use of wear-resistant coverings and their types.
Kostiantyn Khrystoliubskyi then provided the students with relevant information on employment in the aviation units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which allowed them to expand their knowledge of working with new types of helicopters.
Concluding the session, Kostiantyn Khrystoliubskyi summarised the issues discussed, talked about perspective areas of development for the National Police of Ukraine's aircraft fleet, and answered all of the students' questions. The students gained new knowledge, got to know the principle of using wear-resistant coverings, and successfully mastered all the materials of the binary lesson.
