On 30 October 2025, Vira Siora, senior teacher of the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines, took part in a scientific and methodological seminar for educators on the topic ‘Modern Challenges of Teaching Ukrainian Language and Literature in a Blended Learning Environment’, which was held online at the Dnipro Polytechnic National Technical University.
The seminar was opened by Artem Pavlychenko, First Vice-Rector of Dnipro Polytechnic National Technical University, who emphasised the importance of philology at a technical university. Welcoming speeches were given by Serhii Hryshchak (Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences) and Olena Horyacha (Director of the Centre for Professional Development of Mentoring and Tutoring).
The speakers gave interesting presentations on various topics and shared their experiences in the development of Ukrainian philological education.
Senior lecturer Vira Siora completed online training as part of this seminar and developed the linguistic, communicative, subject-methodological, information and digital, and innovative competencies necessary for effective teaching of the Ukrainian language and literature in the context of modern education and blended learning, and for creating a motivational educational environment, receiving a certificate of advanced training for a total of 15 hours (0.5 ECTS).
