On 13 November 2025, Kremenchuk Flight College hosted a scientific round table on the topical issue of ‘Women in War: From the Rear to the Front – Diverse Roles and Challenges.’

The event was organised by Maryna Kiriukhina, PhD, teacher at the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines.

Students analysed in detail the historical evolution and current contribution of women to Ukraine's defence capabilities. The discussion covered not only traditional roles (medicine, communications), but also the participation of women in combat operations – as drone operators, technicians and pilots.

Particular attention was paid to social challenges and the need to ensure gender equality in military-technical specialities.

The round table helped to strengthen the civic awareness of students and increase respect for the heroism and professionalism of female military personnel.
