From 31 October to 5 November 2025, the full faculty (21 teachers) of the Air Transport Department joined the educational series ‘Barrier-Free Literacy’ of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, created as part of First Lady Olena Zelenska's initiative ‘No Barriers’ in cooperation with the President of Ukraine’s Advisor on Barrier-Free Issues, the NGO ‘Barrier-Free’, representatives of civil society and experts, with the support of the UN project ‘Human Rights for Ukraine’, funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and received the relevant certificates.
Knowledge on barrier-free issues is relevant and important at present, as certain barriers still exist for people with disabilities in society. Rejection of someone different from the rest of the group, rejection of people because of stereotypes, is also a barrier. Barrier-free education opens up a broader view of the world and allows us to free ourselves from prejudice when working with students, as prejudice is another barrier that can be overcome on a psychological, emotional and intellectual level.
The world around us should be open to everyone!
