As part of a project to support Ukraine's defenders, students and teachers from the Kremenchuk Flight College of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs organised Veterans’ Fishing, an event that combined relaxation, socialising and gratitude to our heroes.

The event took place on 05 November 2025 on the picturesque banks of the Dnipro River. War veterans, students and college staff took part in fishing. The aim of the event was not only to allow participants to spend time actively in nature, but also to create a warm atmosphere of support and unity.

There was a friendly atmosphere during the fishing, jokes were told, and the takings evoked sincere emotions. Snacks, hot tea and a competition for the biggest fish were organised for the guests. The winners received symbolic prizes and thanks from the college.

‘Such events give us the feeling that we are not forgotten. It is very pleasant to spend the day among young people, to feel care and respect,’ one of the veterans shared his impressions.

At the end of the meeting, the participants agreed to make ‘Veterans’ Fishing’ a good tradition of the college, because sincere support and humanity are what unite generations.
