On 21 October 2025, a binary class was conducted for the students of the educational and professional programme ‘Maintenance and Repair of Aircraft and Aircraft Engines’ in the discipline ‘Practical Aerodynamics and Flight Operations of Schweizer 300C Helicopter.’
Arkadii Shapovalov, commander of the aviation unit of the Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA, was invited to conduct the lesson.
The teacher Oleksandr Tsarenko introduced to students the topic of binary class ‘Preparation to Flight.’
At the beginning of the class, Arkadii Shapovalov shared the specifics of his work. Then, there was an active discussion of the following issues: ‘The most common types of damage,’ ‘The procedure for starting up engines on helicopters with carburettor and fuel-injected engines,’ and ‘Differences in start-up.’
The students actively asked questions and learned the basic requirements for the pre-flight preparation during the dialogue. They also familiarised themselves with the procedure for the pre-flight check. In addition, the students learned the procedure for the engine’s start-up on the helicopters with carburettor and fuel-injected engines, as well as the differences between the two.
The students gained new knowledge, got to know the regulatory documentation, and successfully mastered all the materials of the binary lesson.
