On October 23, 2025, a webinar was held on the Clarivate Essential platform on the topic: ‘Analysis of Open Science in Ukraine Using Clarivate Resources.’ Oksana Borysenko, head of the Practical Training Department, joined the event.

The event included discussions on open access, what it means in practice, why publications can be paid for by authors, how often this occurs, how the publishing landscape in Ukraine is changing, and which institutions are more ‘open.’ New malpractice using open access and generative services was also discussed. And just a little bit was talked about the new database on the Web of Science platform – Research Commons.  Participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, express their suggestions, and receive explanations.
