On 21 October 2025, the Kremenchuk Flight College held an open lecture on ‘Issues of ensuring academic integrity in the era of artificial intelligence,’ dedicated to the International Academic Integrity Day and in accordance with the Plan of Events on Academic Integrity at the KFC of KhNUIA for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The event was attended by representatives and students of the Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA, the Sumy branch of KhNUIA, educational and scientific institutes No. 1-5, departments and divisions of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
An introductory speech was given by Symon Serbeniuk, a research fellow at the Division of Scientific Work Organisation of the University's Scientific Activities Organisation Department. He reminded the audience of the concept and principles of academic integrity and the types of its violations. In his speech, the speaker also focused on the main provisions of the Regulations on Academic Integrity at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and the Procedure for Checking Academic and Scientific Texts for Plagiarism.
The guest speaker at the event was Olena Horobets, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Statistics and Mathematical Methods in Economics at the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Auditing. She spoke about the ethical and legal challenges that artificial intelligence brings to science and education, the risks of misconduct at every stage of interaction with AI, and practical recommendations for its responsible, transparent, and legitimate use by teachers and students.
The event was moderated by Liudmyla Oliinyk, the College's responsible for academic integrity, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Head of the Scientific Activities Organisation Department.
