On 29 September 2025, Oleksandra Boiko, the teacher of the Air Transport Department, with the participation of Oksana Trisco, the psychologist at the Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA, conducted a binary class for second-year students, majoring in 272 ‘Air Transport (UAVs operator)’ in the discipline ‘Human Factor and Limitations.’ The topic of the lesson was ‘Social Psychology. Information Exchange and Communication in a Team.’

The class was structured to ensure the smooth integration of aviation knowledge and psychological aspects. The psychologist highlighted key aspects that have a direct impact on the formation of an effective UAV crew. She presented examples of diagnostic tests for determining personality types (e.g., for determining temperament, character accentuation, stress level, and aggression level) and their application in the aviation field. Oksana Trisco explained how test results are used to predict operator behaviour in emergencies. During the binary class, the psychologist and teacher explained the concept of the ‘optimal pilot-instructor pair.’ It was emphasised that the selection of a pair is based on the complementarity of psychological types, rather than their similarity. The mechanisms of conflict emergence in a team and ways to prevent and avoid them were partially discussed. The binary lesson was successful and fully achieved its educational and developmental goals.

During the class, there was a sufficient level of engagement among the students, who actively asked questions about the practical application of psychological tests and crew formation mechanisms, especially in the field of UAV use and military applications.
