On 12 October 2025, representatives of the Kremenchuk Flight College of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took an educational trip to notable cultural sites in the Poltava region. The excursion programme included a visit to the National Museum-Reserve of Ukrainian Pottery in Opishne, the Honchariia ethnographic village, participation in a theatrical traditional wedding ceremony, and an exploration of the atmospheric location - Pumpkin Park.
At the museum-reserve, participants saw a unique collection of Ukrainian ceramics - a true cultural code of the nation, expressed in the forms, images and traditions of pottery. This is a place where heritage preservation is combined with the development of contemporary art.
The theatricalisation of a Ukrainian wedding, recreated with authentic rituals, songs and dances, allowed participants to feel the depth of folk customs and their emotional power.
In the ethnographic village ‘Honchariya’, there was an opportunity to observe the life of masters and immerse oneself in the creative atmosphere of the craft, from traditional techniques to modern art forms.
The final stage was a visit to ‘Pumpkin Park', an autumn location filled with warmth and photogenic landscapes. Pumpkin installations, original street decorations, photo zones, and places to relax in the open air. This space invited everyone to feel the magic of the season, combine creativity and nature, and be captivated by the beauty in the details.
The trip was not only a holiday, but also an opportunity to learn about the cultural heritage of the region, enrich the worldview and strengthen the team spirit of the personnel. The whole day was accompanied by warm smiles, sincere conversations and new discoveries. Colleagues shared their thoughts, took photos, and reflected on how important the connection with cultural heritage is for each of us.
Such events contribute to the formation of a respectful attitude towards Ukrainian traditions, the development of aesthetic taste and inspiration in professional activities. After all, knowledge of one's roots, traditions and craftsmen naturally shapes the future in art, education and culture.
