On 10 October 2025, Marina Puzyr, a teacher at the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines, conducted a binary practical class in the discipline ‘Selected Sections of Higher Mathematics’ on the topic ‘Calculation of Derivatives and Their Application’ for higher education students majoring in J6 Air Transport. The main purpose of the session was not only to reinforce students' theoretical knowledge of function differentiation, but also to demonstrate how mathematical tools are used to solve real engineering problems that future specialists will face.
The class was organised and conducted by the joint contribution of higher mathematics teacher Maryna Puzyr and specialist teacher, Doctor of Technical Sciences Olena Kobylska from Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University, which ensured its high interdisciplinary integration.
For future specialists of the Kremenchuk Flight College, the mathematical tool of derivatives is not an abstract theory, but a fundamental instrument for solving key engineering tasks in aviation. Derivatives enable a transition from a static description of systems to an analysis of their operation dynamics.
Thus, the binary class in higher mathematics does not simply teach derivatives, but provides students with practical mathematical tools that are essential for modern engineering thinking in the aviation industry.
