On 30 September 2025, Oleh Halata, teacher of the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines, with the participation of veteran and mobilised persons support specialist, war veteran, and a person with disability, Mr Andrii, held a binary class in the discipline ‘Physical Training’ for the first-year students, majoring in J6 Air Transport, the educational and professional programme ‘Air Navigation.’ The topic of the lesson was ‘Rules of Hand-to-Hand Combat.’

During the class, students gained an expanded understanding of modern trends, theory, history, and development of hand-to-hand combat, gained practical experience, and learned the basic principles necessary for the accurate and safe performance of physical exercises and the development of physical qualities.

The class began with the introduction of modern methods for conducting the preparatory part. The teacher used individual and repeated teaching methods. Studying this topic provided a better understanding of the importance of defence and attack in hand-to-hand combat and their significance in solving various tasks.

Thanks to the binary class, students had the opportunity to consider specific practical examples of the application of modern approaches and methods of hand-to-hand combat development.

As a result, the binary class on hand-to-hand combat was a fruitful and useful experience that allowed students to gain new knowledge and continue studying and researching topics, as well as deepen their knowledge in this area through practice and professional development. We would like to thank the participants for their active involvement.
