On 1 October 2025, Serhii Sych, teacher of the Department of Electronic Communications, Radio Engineering and Avionics, with the participation of Ph.D Dmytro Shokariov, Associate Professor of the Department of Power Plants of the National Technical University ‘Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute’, held a binary lesson in the discipline ‘Fundamentals of Relay Protection and System Automation’ for students majoring in 141 Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics of the educational and professional programme ‘Electromechanics’. The topic of the class was ‘Current Protection of Single-Ended Power Lines.’

During the class, Serhii Sych introduced to students the damage and characteristics of power line modes. He talked about maximum current protection. Dmytro Shokariov talked about the current cut-off without time delay and the current cut-off with time delay.

At the end of the class, the speaker answered students' questions about current protection.
