On 1 October 2025, Liudmyla Oliinyk, head of the Scientific Activity Organisation Department, Nataliia Kitsel, associate researcher of the Department, and Nina Popova, head of the Public Library, participated in the online scientific and practical seminar ‘Identification of Ukrainian scientific publications and other continuing resources in the ISSN system under martial law.’ The event was organised by the state scientific institution ‘Ivan Franko Book Chamber of Ukraine’ with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The speaker at the seminar was Iryna Pohorelovska, Head of the Department of International Standard Numbering of Publications and Electronic Resources of the Book Chamber of Ukraine, ISSN Centre of Ukraine.

The online scientific and practical seminar was devoted to challenges and innovations in the ISSN system, issues of its functioning in Ukraine in the context of Russian armed aggression, and cooperation with the International ISSN Centre. Considerable attention was also paid to the problems and difficulties encountered by serial publications that were forced to cease publication in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine but continued publication in territories controlled by Ukraine or published in the temporarily occupied territories.
