On the eve of Defenders of Ukraine Day, students of the Kremenchuk Flight College of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held a meeting with representatives of the student council of Poltava Secondary School No. 20 under the slogan ‘Heroes Never Die.’
The event was held to honour the memory of Hero of Ukraine Vitalii Hrytsaienko, who studied at this school. At the memorial plaque installed in his honour, those present honoured the memory of the deceased with a minute of silence.
On the Defenders of Ukraine Memory Alley, students and cadets were introduced to the school project ‘Book of Memory.’ In the school’s history museum, guests were given an excursion to the exposition dedicated to the Hero of Ukraine Vitalii Hrytsaienko. The cadets also visited the classroom where the Hero studied.
High school students, together with cadets, enthusiastically participated in the interactive game ‘I Love Ukraine’, which helped unite young people around national values and patriotic education.
As part of the event, an agreement on cooperation between educational institutions was also signed.
In addition, cadets of the Kremenchuk Flight College visited the burial place of Hero of Ukraine Vitalii Hrytsaienko on the Alley of Glory of the city cemetery. Those present laid flowers and honoured the memory of the deceased with a minute of silence.
