On 12 September, an important online meeting was held between higher education students majoring in J6 ‘Air Transport’ and the guarantor of the educational and professional programme ‘Air Navigation’, Candidate of Technical Sciences Volodymyr Vasyliovych Holovenskyi. The event was a great opportunity for higher education students to get comprehensive answers to all their questions about their studies.
During the meeting, Volodymyr Vasyliovych spoke in detail about the structure of the educational programme, assessment criteria and key disciplines that higher education students will study over three years and ten months. He emphasised the significance of consistent study of each block, as the programme is designed to train highly qualified specialists in the field of aviation.
A special feature of the meeting was Holovenskyi's personal experience. He shared incredible stories from his life and career, which spans approximately 6,700 flight hours. For many years, he worked as a pilot-flight engineer, participating in the extinguishing of large-scale fires from a helicopter in Turkey and transporting people by air. Volodymyr Vasyliovych sincerely explained that being a pilot requires not only technical skills, but also responsibility, discipline, and constant self-improvement. He also emphasised that a modern pilot must not only be a professional in their field, but also a person who can make well-considered decisions in critical situations.
This insightful meeting not only provided higher education students with important information but also inspired them to further success. Volodymyr Vasyliovych has become a true role model for future pilots, proving that a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience is key to a successful career in aviation.
