Representatives of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, in particular Tetiana Kozlovska, the head of the Air Transport Department, Nataliia Kitsel, the associate researcher at the Scientific Activity Organization Department, Oksana Borysenko, the head of the Practical Training Department, Svitlana Stelmakh and Yuliia Onyshchenko, the specialist and the translator of the International Relations and Interuniversity Work Group, as well as Maryna Kiriukhina and Yuliia Bershadska, the head and the associate professor of the Department of Management, Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines joined the webinar on ‘Academic Integrity and Ethics in Scientific Research in the Open Science Era’, which was held by State scientific and technical library of Ukraine on 27 August 2025.
The webinar participants considered the fundamental principles of academic ethics, including issues of plagiarism, data falsification and wrong citation in the digital environment. Particular attention was paid to ethical aspects of using open scientific resources, correct authorship in collective research, and compliance with quality standards in dealing with large amounts of data. The webinar covered the relevant issues in scientific practice, namely ethics of AI use in research, privacy and personal data protection in open scientific projects, as well as mechanisms for ensuring transparency and reproducibility of research results.
Participation in such events contributes to the development of a culture of academic integrity and the creation of a transparent and accountable scientific environment.
