On 15 July, College’s students along with the specialists of the Department of Social, Humanitarian, Educational and Career Guidance Work conducted held an educational and entertainment programme for children living at the Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children of the Kremenchuk City Council of Kremenchuk District, Poltava Oblast.

The event was dedicated to Ukrainian Statehood Day, an important commemorative date that has been celebrated since 2022. This holiday was established by a decree of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. Ukrainian Statehood Day is intended to remind of the thousand-year-old traditions of Ukrainian statehood, strengthen the bond between generations, and emphasise the uniqueness and strength of the Ukrainian people.

Children were introduced to historical facts about the origins of Ukrainian statehood, cultural heritage, traditions and national character in an interesting and understandable way. Through games, quizzes and creative tasks, the children learned about the importance of preserving national identity and the role of our language, symbols and customs in the formation of the Ukrainian state.

The event helped to develop a sense of pride in their country, an awareness of the importance of historical heritage and the formation of patriotic values in children. The positive atmosphere, sincere smiles and interest of the children were the best proof of the importance of such initiatives.
