On 19 February 2025, the Scientific Activity Organisation Department of the KFC of KNUIA organised and held a scientific seminar on ‘Challenges and Prospects of Artificial Intelligence in the Context of Academic Integrity’ for students.

Speaker of the scientific seminar was Serhii Vladov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, the Head of the Scientific Activity Organisation Department of KFC of KhNUIA. He greeted the participants of the scientific seminar and emphasised that the ethics of artificial intelligence is an important topic in the modern world, especially given the rapid development of neural network technologies. He noted that neural network models can be complex and non-transparent, making their operation difficult to understand, and that to ensure the ethical use of artificial intelligence, it is important for researchers to provide transparency about how these models work and how they make decisions. The impact of neural network technologies on society was also discussed, including issues such as job automation and increased social inequality. To ensure the ethical use of artificial intelligence, it is important to take into account the social consequences of introducing such technologies and to develop strategies to reduce their negative impact.

The scientific seminar was attended by students majoring in 272 Air Transport.

At the end of the scientific seminar, participants asked the speaker a number of questions about the ethical aspects of creating and using neural networks when writing scientific texts. Overall, the topic of the scientific seminar ‘Challenges and Prospects of Artificial Intelligence in the Context of Academic Integrity’ sparked a lively discussion among the seminar participants.
