From late May to early June 2025, events dedicated to the HWPL’s 12th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace are being held in 94 locations of 61 countries with the participation of over 1,600 social activists and 10,000 citizens.   The event is organised by the international peace-making non-governmental organisation Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), registered under the UN ECOSOC.

On 30 May, as a part of a global series of events, the on-line conference took place in Ukraine with the participation of the Department of Education and Science of the Poltava Oblast State Administration, the Department of Education of the Zhytomyr City Council, over 20 educational institutions and public organisations, with informational support from the international publication Business Woman.

More than 100 participants discussed the implementaion of the ‘HWPL’s Peace Education in Ukraine’ project and supported the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW).  They also presented volunteer initiatives, like blood donation and planting peace trees as part of the Greening the Planet campaign.

The Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA was actively represented by: Olena Tsymbalisova, the Deputy Director of the College for Educational and Scientific Activities; Nina Popova, the Head of the Library; Oksana Trisco, Leading Psychologist of the Psychological Support Group; and the International Relations and Interuniversity Work Group: specialist Svitlana Stelmakh, translator Yuliia Onyschenko.

During the conference, practical steps were discussed regarding the integration of peacekeeping strategies in the field of education, the development of volunteer initiatives, the strengthening of international partnerships, and ways to involve the academic community in the culture of peace. 

Participation in such events strengthens inter-institutional ties, promotes responsible international dialogue, and opens up new opportunities for the development of humanitarian partnerships in the face of contemporary challenges.
