From 4 to 7 June 2025, Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University hosted an international competition of student papers in specific fields, aimed at integrating Ukraine into the European educational and scientific space, expanding international relations, stimulating innovative activity among students, helping them master modern technologies, and creating conditions for the intellectual development of talented young people.

The competition was held under the patronage of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The competition was co-organised by: Abertay University (Scotland); Matej Bel University (Slovakia); Edukons University (Serbia); Institute of New Technologies and Business (Czech Republic); Higher School of European and Regional Studies (Czech Republic); Higher School of Information Systems Management (Isma) (Latvia); Alytus College University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania); Lublin University of Technology (Poland); Wroclaw University of Economics (Poland).

The Kremenchuk Flight College of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs presented research papers in the section ‘Civil Defence and Labour Protection’ (a total of 82 papers were presented in this section): III place was awarded to second-year student Volodymyr Kravchenko from the Tadms-24-1b study group with his paper ‘Fire safety as a component of civil protection of the population in conditions of military operations’. Scientific supervisor: Tetiana Kozlovska, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Air Transport Department. She was awarded a certificate of merit for her active participation in the competition and for preparing the student to compete. First-year cadet Mykhailo Seridko was awarded a certificate of merit for his active participation in the competition with his research paper ‘Monitoring the condition of energy facilities using unmanned aerial vehicles to provide civil population defence’. Scientific supervisor: Inna Deriabina, teacher at the Air Transport Department, who was also awarded a certificate of merit for her active participation in the competition.
