On 3 June 2025, representatives of the Kremenchuk Flight College of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs joined the webinar, organised by European Digital Education Hub, on the topic ‘Empowering Educators:  Transitioning to Effective Online Instruction.’

The webinar focused on the challenges faced by teachers accustomed to traditional teaching when transitioning to an online format. Participants discussed how to overcome the difficulties arising from the transition from the classroom to the screen, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among the speakers were:

  • Richard Powers, an expert in digital education at the University of Stuttgart, who regularly conducts courses for teachers seeking to improve their online teaching skills.
  • Lieselot and Annabel Declercq, founders of the online school “d-teach online” and the International Community of Online Schools (ICONS).

The webinar highlighted important principles for a successful transition to online learning, such as adapting to new conditions, understanding students' needs, and finding your own teaching style. It also covered tips on how to make effective online courses, like planning, picking materials, and assessment methods. Special attention was given to the importance of feedback for supporting students and improving the quality of learning.

The webinar also offered solutions to common online learning problems and shared the experiences of teachers who successfully switched to online teaching.

Participation in the webinar was a valuable opportunity for college representatives to gain new knowledge and exchange experiences with colleagues from around the world.
