On 20 May 2025, a round table discussion was held with the TEdsr 24-1b study group on the topic ‘The Future After the War: The Role of Women in the Reconstruction of Ukraine.’ The event was attended by the head of the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines, Marina Kiriukhina, teachers of the Department, Olga Khomiak and Vira Siora, and higher education students. The purpose of the round table was to discuss the potential role of women in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine in various spheres of social life.
During the discussion, the importance of ensuring gender equality and creating favourable conditions for the full participation of women in all aspects of reconstruction was noted. The need to overcome gender stereotypes and ensure equal access to education, employment and political representation was discussed. Special attention was paid to issues of support for women affected by the war, including psychological assistance and social adaptation.
