More than 10 years ago, Ukraine joined the tradition of commemorating the victory over Nazism in the European spirit - not celebrating, but commemorating. This is how the public perception of 8 May and the Second World War was established through the human dimension, with an emphasis on the role of people who fought against Nazism. On the Day of Remembrance and Victory, Ukraine traditionally honours veterans, expresses respect and gratitude to all fighters against Nazism, and perpetuates the memory of the fallen soldiers and victims of the bloodiest and most brutal war in human history.

The students of Kremenchuk Flight College paid their respects to the fallen soldiers of the Second World War - the liberators of our city. The young people laid flowers at the foot of the monument to the ‘Warrior-Liberator’, which is located in the centre of Kremenchuk Kremenchuk in the Oleh Babaiev Park, and bowed their heads in a minute of silence.

During the educational hour, students also had the opportunity to watch the film ‘Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War of 1939-1945’.
