On 24 April 2025, a regular elective lesson of the School of Scientific Leadership of KhNUIA was held by Tetiana Kozlovska, Head of the Department of Air Transport of Kremenchuk Flight College. She prepared an interactive presentation for the students on the topic ‘Current Environmental Problems in Ukraine under Martial Law’. In her presentation, Tetiana Kozlovska analysed the impact of physical, chemical, biological and social factors on the environment, paying special attention to the problems of using chemicals and reagents in the process of conducting forensic examinations.

She also highlighted the impact of hostilities on the spread of dangerous plants, animal deaths, soil contamination, and the effects of phosphorus munitions on the human body and the environment. The impact of shelling and fires in urban areas and their impact on the occurrence of diseases in the civilian population were also discussed.

The School of Scientific Leadership was attended by cadets, students, master's students, postgraduate students and adjuncts of the University (Vinnytsia, Kamianets-Podilskyi), students of Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA, speciality 272 Aviation Transport, Nataliia Kitsel, associate researcher of the Department of Scientific Activity Organisation of KFC KhNUIA, Olena Chernikhova, head of the Department of Educational Process Organisation, Inna Yakymets, specialist of the Department, and Oksana Borysenko, head of the Practical Training Department.

The students actively joined the discussion, asked relevant questions and received comprehensive answers.

Vitalii Naida, Head of the School of Scientific Leadership, thanked for the informative presentation and emphasised the importance of the issues raised for future law enforcement officers who, in the context of performing combat missions, must take into account the impact of various chemical factors to ensure personal safety. The importance of environmental issues in the context of improving national legislation and adapting the activities of the National Police to new environmental realities was also highlighted.

The Scientific Leadership Schools provide an opportunity to broaden and enrich the worldview and better understand the anthropogenic and natural processes taking place in the environment.
