This is a celebration of authors, publishers, critics, librarians, readers and everyone who sometimes remains ‘behind the scenes’ of book publishing.Why exactly on April 23 and why this day was introduced at the world level, students of Kremenchuk Flight College tried to find out during an event organized by the Department of Social, Humanitarian, Educational and Career Guidance Work.

Of course, the ‘meeting’ with the book should take place in the treasury of human history, wisdom and knowledge, in its very temple – the library. Thus, in the reading room of the college library, the head of the library Popova N.V. welcomed the students.

The specialist of the department Tetiana Samchishyna introduced the peculiarities of celebrating the Book Day in different times and different countries. Using the technical facilities of the present day, she ‘guided’ the audience from the beginning of the book creation to the day of its celebration, demonstrated the evolution of the oldest information sources of human life.

A true gift for the audience was a speech by Tatiana Bulat, a writer, poet, master of the artistic word, head of the Leisure Department of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Education and Career Guidance. She told the young people how she created her books - what inspired her, what thoughts, feelings and hopes she put in the written texts. An interesting discovery was the facts about copyright and the state regulations that govern it. The artistic word was not only discussed, but also recited by Marharyta Kaptsevych and Veronika Kapustynska, the invited guest.

The event ended with a performance by the folk vocal group Kryla of Kremenchuk Flight College comprising Marharyta Kaptsevych, Veronika Kapustynska and Volodymyr Kravchenko.
