Traditionally, the youth of Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA took part in the Essay Contest for Pupils and Students ‘My Shevchenko’, which received the title ‘international’ last year. In 2025, the state scientific institution Institute of Education Content Modernisation together with the public organisation Innovative Horizons of Ukraine will hold the International Essay Contest for Pupils and Students ‘My Shevchenko’ for the seventh time. The Contest’s objective is to promote the T. H. Shevchenko’s creative heritage, reviving the memory of the Kobzar, and his role in setting the spiritual grounds of the Ukrainian nation, affirming the moral and ethical commandments of the artist as an important factor in the consolidation of society, national and patriotic education of secondary, vocational and higher education students, preserving and developing the intellectual potential of Ukraine, supporting and stimulating talented youth and the creative work of teachers. The Contest’s participants represented various education institutions. More than 200 participants from vocational and higher education institutions had the opportunity to show their talent. Under the guidance of Vira Siora, the teacher of the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines, the first-year students Valeriia Savchenko and Vladyslav Varvarynets duly represented the Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, having a unique opportunity to express their own understanding of Kobzar’s traditions and culture, submitting their piece of works under the titles ‘Shevchenko in the Present’ and ‘Shevchenko goes with the Time’ to the jury. The Contest’s participants received certificates for their active participation. The International Essay Contest for Pupils and Students is an opportunity to comprehend the spiritual grounds of our nation's development, to draw on the strength of the Ukrainian people to withstand and win!
