On 18 March, the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology organized an on-line informational event. The topic of the round table was to determine the higher education institutions role in the innovation ecosystem development in Ukraine, which is an essential element for technological progress and entrepreneurship in the country.
The Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA was actively represented by:
the head of the Air Transport Department, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, associate professor Tetiana Kozlovska;
the head of the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines Maryna Kiriukhina;
the specialist of the International Relations and Interuniversity Work Group Svitlana Stelmakh; and
the translator of the International Relations and Interuniversity Work Group Yuliia Onyshchenko.
During the discussion, important issues were highlighted regarding the following:
The research environment of the higher education institutions as the basis for synergy between the country, business and science within the innovation ecosystem.
TISC (Technology and Innovation Support Centre) opportunities for commercialisation of innovative ideas and support of startups.
Grant funding for researchers, which enables their career development and projects’ realisation.
Open Source license that promote open technology and innovation development.
Protection of intellectual property rights, which is an important aspect of ensuring the protection of developments and innovative products.
The final part of the event included the question-answer session, where the participants considered in detail the current challenges facing the development of the innovation ecosystem in Ukraine and discussed effective strategies for solving them.
