ALL-UKRAINIAN YOUTH FORUM ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The College’s representatives took part in a large-scale event, aimed at youth engagement in green recovery of Ukraine. The forum brought together the representatives of government agencies and financial institutions (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Youth and Sports, banks, and specialised organisations);
NGOs and youth organisations (Association of Sustainable Development Experts, Ukrainian Students for Freedom, Green Wave Eco Club, Let's do it Ukraine;
youth leaders, students and representatives of business, associations and international organisations interested in youth engagement (MHP, UNDP, EBA).
The main objective was to create the platform for discussion, experience exchange for the formation and development of the potential and key competences of young people in the area of sustainable development.
The All-Ukrainian Youth Forum on Sustainable Development was attanded by:
Olena Tsymbalisova, the Deputy Director of the College for Educational and Scientific Activities,
from the Department for the Organization of the Educational Process: the head of the department Olena Chernikhova and specialists Inna Yakymets and Yana Unkovska;
from the Practical Training Department: the head of the department Oksana Borysenko and the specialist Iryna Lysenko;
from the International Relations and Interuniversity Work Group: the specialist Svitlana Stelmakh and the translator Yullia Onyshchenko;
from the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines: the head of the department Maryna Kiriukhina, the teacher Inna Ryshkova and the student majoring in Air Transport.
The forum has become a key point in cooperation between the youth, experts, business, financial institutions and government agencies. The main objective was to develop the youth potential by providing them with practical knowledge, skills and new opportunities, including internships, employment and support for their initiatives to integrate into the green recovery of Ukraine.
The participants discussed how educational programmes, internships and initiatives could be adapted to the real demands of students and young specialists. Particular emphasis was put on how to jointly create conditions for training and engaging young professionals in the process of Ukraine's recovery, and integrating youth initiatives into the sustainable development strategies of companies and government policies.
