Honour and memory are the least we can do to thank them!
On March 14, Ukraine honours volunteers - people who were not military by profession, but at a critical moment for the state, without summons or coercion, voluntarily "put their previous lives on hold" and took up arms to defend the country.
Both 2014 and 2022 have shown that soldiers of goodwill are not alone in Ukraine. The volunteer movement is one of the phenomena of Ukrainian society. It is one of our superpowers. In hard times, volunteers have supported and strengthened the Ukrainian army.
The best people joint the army massively. People who had achievements and prospects in civil life left their businesses and families, academic achievements, successful careers in various areas and even their lives in other countries to voluntarily go to the battlefield to defend Ukraine. They were and are risking their lives for us. Many of them have already given their lives.
Therefore, the college cadets visited the Kremenchuk Veteran Rehabilitation Centre for War Veterans and Disabled. Young men listened to the real stories of soldiers, who voluntarily came to defend our land from the very beginning of Russian aggression. Their stories of conscious decisions to sacrifice their lives and heroism were confirmed by the awards they wear on their chests, and the figures of the defenders will continue to strengthen the patriotic spirit of young people.
The veterans treated the cadets of the KFC KhNUIA and students of Kremenchuk Medical Vocational College named after V. І. Lytvynenko, who were also present at the meeting, to warm tea and sincere conversations, and together they planned a peaceful life. Future pilots and medical staff had the opportunity to join the joint assistance to the soldiers of the AFU – to braid their ribbon and tie a knot on the camouflage net.
In memory of Kremenchuk Flight College, students presented the Kremenchuk Veteran Rehabilitation Centre for War Veterans and Disabled with a watch with the logo of the educational institution.
