On 11 March 2025, Kremenchuk Flight College hosted a round table dedicated the relevant topic ‘Fighting Corruption as a Prerequisite for Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic Integration’. The event was conducted by Maryna Kiriukhina, the head of the Department of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fundamental Disciplines, and attended by the students of the group Tedbsr-24-1b and teachers of the Department Vira Siora and Olha Khomiak.
During the round table, the participants discussed a large number of questions related to corruption in Ukraine and its effect on Euro-Atlantic integration process. Reports were made on topics such as corruption as a threat to national security, anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine, international experience in fighting corruption, the role of civil society in tackling corruption and corruption’s impact on Euro-Atlantic integration.
The following discussion was lively and constructive. The participants exchanged views, expressed their thoughts on the problems of corruption in Ukraine and suggested the ways to solve them. Particular attention was paid to the need for effective anti-corruption reforms, strengthening the role of civil society in controlling the government and raising the level of legal culture of society.
The results of the round table concluded that corruption is one of the main obstacles to Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration. The participants agreed that combating corruption must become a priority for the state and society. Specific recommendations on how to tackle corruption were offered, which will be brought to the attention of the Kremenchuk Flight College management.
The round table on ‘Fighting Corruption as a Prerequisite for Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic Integration’ was an important step to raise the awareness of higher education students on topical issues of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
