On 20 February 2025, the ACADEMIC INTEGRITY FORUM was held by Progresylni Island of Vinnytsia Technical Vocational College and the NGO Progresylni. The event was attended by Olena Tsymbalistova, the Deputy Director of the College for Educational and Scientific Activities, Olena Chernikhova, the head of the Department for the Organization of the Educational Process, Oksana Borysenko, head of the Practical Training Department, as well as Inna Yakymets and Yana Unkovska, specialists of the Department for the Organization of the Educational Process.

The Forum’s objective is: to search for the approaches to ensure academic integrity in educational activities in the modern world.

Particular attention was paid to ethics and responsibility of the artificial intelligence use in the educational process, including the prevention of plagiarism and manipulation in academic texts. Experts and educators exchanged their experience to enhance awareness of principles of academic integrity among the participants in the educational process for ensuring high quality of education, including in the context of artificial intelligence technologies. The participants learned the best technological and pedagogical solutions to support academic integrity, in particular, to detect and prevent plagiarism.

They received up-to-date information about risks and threats to academic integrity in context of educational digitalisation and artificial intelligence use.

The principles of responsible use of AI in education were defines, including the issues of ethics, academic responsibility and prevention of manipulation in academic texts.

The Forum facilitated the professional dialogue between the educators, scientists and academic integrity experts to further adapt the best practices to educational institutions.

The participants received the certificated confirming their awareness of academic integrity, educational ethics, critical thinking, information literacy and responsible use of technologies.
