Lesia Ukrainka was born on 25 February 1871. Annually, we remember the talented poetess whose contribution to Ukrainian literature cannot be overestimated. Many generations of Ukrainians have grown up with her works, and her poems are as topical as they were written nowadays.

On this day, a career guidance specialist of the Department of Social, Humanitarian, Educational and Career Guidance Work conducted literary and musical evening for the students of the Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA in the reading room of the library, where an exhibition of Lesia Ukrainka's literary heritage was held. Thus, young people had the opportunity to learn about the life and work of Larysa Petrivna Kosach (real name) in the atmosphere of her writings. Vladyslav Varvanets (group REBdsr-24-1b), who recited the poem ‘Everywhere there is crying, and moaning, and sobbing (Скрізь плач, і стогін, і ридання)’ and Alisa Morozova (group BPLAdsr-24-1b), who recited ‘I stood and listened to the spring (Стояла я і слухала весну)’, helped to feel the lyrics and drama conveyed by the poetess.

A wonderful way to get acquainted with Lesya Ukrainka's work was to hear her voice. The students heard the lively voice of the poetess who recorded the song ‘Oh, a Cossack came by and from Ukraine turned the girl away from her family...(Ой, заїхав козак та з Україноньки, одмовив дівчину та й од родиноньки…)’ about a hundred years ago.
